stripes were woven from contrasting colors like yellow, red, and blue and this influences the general color arrangement of
the carpet; it looks livelier and well groomed. The central field also was decorated with a fine pattern and subtle diagonals.
Each color green, red, blue, white, and yellow are different but the general harmony is suitable. These types of contrast-
ing colors are woven on the diagonal stripes only in Ganja group Azerbaijani carpets. According to the narrow stripes,
the “buta” patterns on it are also small. The heads of the hook-shaped bending “buta” are reminiscent of the patterns on
a “tirma” shawl. This carpet was woven in a “yollug” (way) size. Surely this was used as a rug. The carpet is stored in a
personal home in Tovuz.
The thickness is 40x50 centimeters. The weft is red, the warp is white, and the pile is thin and made of wool. The carpet
has artistic, historic, and scientific significance. The carpet is in excellent condition.
