The carpets belonging to the Tabriz group of Azerbaijani carpets, which are often
appraised as “a letter sent to the future,” attract attention with their meaning and
content, as well as their striking artistic and technical features. This attraction is a
result of traditions lasting throughout the ages resulting in the formation of a high
standard of handicrafts. The construction of magnificent buildings by Tabriz
architects and the development of miniatures resulted in the acceleration of carpet
weaving as well.
