The date 1230 AH appears at the top part of the carpet, inside a border with a cream-colored background. This carpet was woven
on the basis of a Tabriz composition.
The main decoration of this carpet with a navy blue setting consists of four large medallions placed on a middle field. There
are twelve-petal flowers in the center of the medallions. The twelve-petal flowers inside the twin medallions in the center are
decorated with blue, orange, light green, and navy blue. The gaps of the medallions are filled with roses and other flower motifs.
The edges of the medallions are surrounded by leaves designed in half circle shapes, arranged one after the other. Four- and
eight-petal flowers are employed in the center of the leaves. It is possible to obtain the exact form of the whole medallions in the
center by merging the two medallions at the right and left of the carpet’s middle field or the four incomplete medallions in the
corners.
