Among Azerbaijani carpets,
the Shirvan group has an
unique place. As an essential
part of the household of
Shirvan’s population, carpets
had a special place in the
artistic design of living
spaces. As in other districts,
the carpets woven in this
district are recognized as
treasures of material and
moral resources, in addition
to being aesthetically
pleasing. Like many arts,
carpet weaving profoundly
influenced the population’s
culture and underwent
different developmental
stages in its craftsmanship in
