The date 1272 AH is divided into two
parts on the right and left of the white
medallion in the upper part of the car-
pet’s middle field.
Two white background gyols (medal-
lion) and one blue background gyol are
placed in the middle field of this dark
red carpet. There are dark red medallions
with hooked edges inside the gyols.
Yellow jutbuynuz (double-horned) mo-
tifs are placed inside the medallion in the
center and navy blue jutbuynuz motifs
are placed in the medallions at the top
and bottom. The centers of the top and
bottom medallions are divided into four
parts with green and cream dot-like ele-
ments placed inside the jutbuynuz mo-
tif in the center. The right, left, and top
sections of the gyols contain medallions
of rectangular forms. Triangular and jut-
buynuz motifs are depicted inside the
medallions.
There are rhombic elements in the emp-
ty parts of the middle field. The middle
field of the carpet is enclosed with green
mollabashi (chamomile). The edges of
the mollabashi motifs are complemented
with white su (water).
Zulfelem ornaments decorate the main
white background border. These orna-
ments are designed using dark and light
green, blue, navy blue, dark red, and yel-
low colors.
The border is encircled by narrow navy
blue stripes on the outside and blue and
brown narrow stripes on the inside. The
borders are adorned with mollabashi
motifs. The mollabashi motifs have red
gazma on the edges.
There are s-shaped elements along the
narrow yellow stripe. These elements are
designed using red, white, blue, navy
blue, green, and brown. The border is
surrounded by red and blue madakhils
designed with z-shaped elements inside
and with white and red outside; the blue
background border is surrounded by red
and yellow madakhils outside, while the
outside border is surrounded by white
and red outside and yellow and red ma-
dakhils with z-shaped elements inside.
The edges of the carpet are designed
with a winding method using navy blue,
dark red, yellow, and green. The color de-
sign of the carpet has been planned with a
traditional uniformity.
