The composition of the carpet consists of a middle field with both wide and narrow borders.
The date 1277 AH appears at the top of the middle field. Three large medallions with a white, yellow, and red background are placed
one after another on the navy blue middle field. There are white hooked motifs inside the red medallion and red hooked motifs inside
the yellow medallion. The empty parts on the edges of these motifs are filled with dordunsur (four elements) and motifs specific to
small madakhils. To the right and left of the carpet's middle field, dark red, yellow, and white s- and spiral-shaped elements are de-
picted in a chainlike arrangement. These elements are also encountered in the art of eastern peoples and in ancient Greek art. One of
