are depicted using green on a red background and are adorned using white and green. The middle field of the red, brown,
and navy blue schemes is decorated on the inside with partial medallions designed on the edge with hooked motifs and
tree-like figures or human figures with their hands on their waists. The empty spaces are filled with various-sized classic
and floral elements. S-shaped motifs are depicted along the narrow stripes that separate the schemes. These stripes are sur-
rounded with sichandishi (mouse teeth). The yellow background border of the carpet is adorned with red and light blue
motifs called shamdan (candlestick) by some weavers. These motifs are encountered on the carpets included in the Guba
Group and the kilims of the Shirvan Group. The border is enclosed by red and white madakhils.
