background medallion and a white background gyol at the top of the carpet are clearly visible. The white middle field of the carpet is
decorated with hooked motifs. These motifs are depicted in blue, red, green, navy blue, brown, and light blue. Black, red, and pink su
(water) completes the edges of these motifs. The empty spaces of the middle field are filled with green and red “evil eye catcher” motifs.
The middle field is surrounded with narrow red, green, and blue borders decorated with mollabashi (chamomile) motifs on the inside
and with navy blue, blue, red, and pink on the outside. The borders are enclosed with white, red, yellow and red sichandishi. The sic-
handishi are surrounded with black su. The elements depicted on the blue background middle field of the carpet are clearly noticeable.
This carpet is distinguishable from other carpets due to its unique color design.
