The date 1306 AH appears at the top of the
carpet’s middle field, on the light blue back-
ground.
A large gyol (medallion) is depicted in the
middle field of this light blue carpet. Two
eight-petal and one rhombic medallion are
placed inside the red background gyol. In-
side the eight-petal medallions there are
green, white, yellow, and light blue motifs.
The edges of the medallions are represented
with yellow su (water). Nine small rhombic
medallions are placed inside the center me-
dallion. There are light blue, yellow, and red
octagonal stars in the center of these rhom-
bic medallions; red, yellow, and light blue
octagonal stars are found on the outside of
the medallions. Arrow-like elements point
towards the four sides: up, down, right, and
left from the center of the star motifs. The
colors of these elements are designed in ac-
cordance with the color of the nooks at their
edges. The edges of the rhombic medallions
are surrounded with zigzags.
There are tree depictions in the corners
of the carpet’s middle field. The trees are
represented in red, but the flowers on the
branches are depicted in yellow and white.
Small rhombic elements are arranged one
after another, designed on the right and left
edges of the middle field.
The middle field of the carpet is surround-
ed with a green background border repre-
sented in white, black, red, blue, light blue,
and yellow small eight-pointed elements
on the inside. The border is completed with
red and white sichandishi (mouse teeth).
The white background border of the car-
pet is decorated with branches decorated
with convolvulus (field bindweed) arrange-
ments. Rectangular, eight-pointed, and
rhombic motifs are depicted on the branch-
es. These motifs are represented in red, light
blue, brown, green, yellow, and blue. On
both sides, the white background border
is surrounded with a blue field border de-
signed with red, white, yellow, green, and
brown four-petal flowers on the inside. The
borders are completed with red, white and
red, and yellow sichandishi. The carpet’s
bright color arrangement complements the
pattern design and exemplifies the high
professionalism of the weaver, who evoked
such enjoyment through the carpet design.
