The main adornment of the central
field of the carpet is two large gols (me-
dallion). There is a “four elements” pat-
tern within the gols. In the center of the
“four elements” pattern, a rhomboidal
medallion has been represented. There
are grey, brown, ivory, and white four-
petal flowers within the medallion and
yellow and brick red eight-petal flow-
ers in the upper, lower, right, and left
edges of the medallion. Small flow-
ers have been depicted on the “four ele-
ments” motifs on the edges of the flowers.
The edges of the medallions contain
projections that appear like flame tips.
These flaming palmettos provide the
carpet with a perfect appearance by
branching out in the direction of the
blank spaces in the central field.
Small and relatively large “buta”
(paisley), four- and six-petal flowers,
and stylized gazelle depictions are rep-
resented in the blank spaces of the cen-
tral field of the carpet. There are blue-
pink, blue-yellow, and brown-white
square elements on the gazelle figures.
Tree motifs have been depicted inside
the relatively large paisleys.
The ivory border of the carpet has
been trimmed with green wavy lines.
Light and dark green, blue, deep blue,
pink, ivory, and light brown elements
have been depicted among the wavy
lines. These elements resemble the or-
naments of screens used in wedding
ceremonies. The edges of the border
have been surrounded with the chains
trimmed with ivory and brick red bro-
ken lines.
The carpet has a rich color palette. It
creates a very attractive and delightful
color arrangement as a result of the tra-
ditional harmony of different hot and
cold colors.
The pile and warp of the carpet is
wool and the weft is cotton. The con-
dition of the carpet is complete. The
carpet is of artistic, historical, and sci-
entific importance
