The artistic structure of the carpet contains a rich central field and border. The main ornament of the light red
central field with brick red highlights consists of “buta” motifs depicted in alternation from right in the first line,
to left in the second line. The “buta” are surrounded with six-petal flowers on each side. There are tree motifs
among the “buta.” The blank spaces of the central field are small. The flowers on the edges of the “buta” are trim-
med with dark and light brown colors, and the edges with ivory “su” (water).
The dark brown border of the carpet has been decorated with small hexagonal elements. The inside of the he-
xagonal elements are divided into four parts. These elements are surrounded by deep blue, bright-red, yellow,
and green colors with edges bordered by ivory-colored “su.” The border finishes externally in ivory-colored “su”
and internally with square motifs.
The external yellow border of the carpet is decorated with serrated-edge “buta,” trimmed with deep red, dark
brown, white, deep blue, and light red colors. The external border finishes in blue “su” on both sides. “Buta” have
been placed among the waves trimmed with brown, ivory, and some red. The border has motifs with projecting
edges at the upper and lower areas.
