“Balig” carpets are large and usually oblong. These carpets are included in the
rank of high-quality carpets of Azerbaijan. Though the carpets with “Balig” compo-
sitions are woven in different regions of Azerbaijan, each region has its own artistic
attributes, technological features, and color designs.
In this carpet, the color design has been realized with high professionalism and
traditional regularity, resulting in an excellent appearance.
The pile and warp of the carpet is wool and the weft is cotton. The condition of
the carpet is complete. The carpet is of artistic, historical, and scientific importance.
