The date 1283 AH appears inside the
dark brown background border at the top
of the carpet.
Three large rectangular gyols (medallion)
are placed in the middle field of the carpet.
The edges of the center gyol are decorated
with t-shaped motifs. A yellow hooked
element with a blue background appears
inside the gyol. Red su (water) completes
the edges of this element. In the center of
the hooked element, a rhombic element di-
vided into four parts appears. The gyol is
surrounded with green and dark red zig-
zags on the outside.
A green jutbuynuz (double-horned) mo-
tif is depicted in the center of the gyol at the
bottom of the carpet’s middle field on the
white background. The edges of the gyol
are decorated with blue t-shaped motifs on
the inside and white, green, dark red, and
blue zigzags on the outside.
A dark red hooked element is depicted
on the red setting in the center of the gyol
at the top of the carpet. In the center of the
hooked element, there is a navy blue rhom-
bic element divided in four. The edges of
the gyol are decorated with green t-shaped
motifs on the inside and white, dark red,
blue, and brown zigzags on the outside.
Thirty small rectangular gyols are de-
picted along the edges of the middle field.
The gyols have white, dark red, navy blue,
green, and blue fields. Dark red, green,
and navy blue goshabuynuz (double-
horned) motifs are portrayed on the white
and dark red background gyols at the top
of the carpet. White goshabuynuz motifs
decorate the red gyol at the bottom. While
brown goshabuynuz motifs decorate the
green background, red are found on the
blue background, and red and brown on
the white background. There are dark red
hooked motifs on the white background at
the top of the gyols, to the left and right of
the middle field. On the green, blue, and
white background gyols, red goshabuynuz
motifs are depicted and on the dark red
setting, blue goshabuynuz motifs appear.
The main yellow background border of
the carpet is designed with hooked gos-
habuynuz motifs, but the top and bottom
are decorated with rectangular elements
with jutbuynuz bulges. Motifs of the same
form are repeated systematically along the
top border of the carpet. The main border
is surrounded with guard stripes designed
with zigzags on both sides. The zigzags
along the outside border are navy blue
while the internal border is designed with
red and white zigzags. The outside border
is surrounded with madakhils designed
with white and red incomplete lines. The
internal border is finished with red and
navy blue incomplete lines on the outside
and with yellow and red incomplete lines
on the inside.
The edges of the madakhils are designed
with brown su.
At the top of the carpet, along the dark
brown border, there are changal (fork)
motifs. Yellow, red, green, navy blue, and
white depict these motifs.
