The main ornament of the central field of the carpet contains bunches of roses depicted on a dark blue background. The
roses are trimmed with pink-red and yellow-ivory-red and the leaves are trimmed with blue-ivory-light brown-red. There
are stylized goat, dog, and bird depictions in the blank spaces of the central field.
The Hijri dates 1334 and 1336 were inscribed in the right, left, upper, and lower sections as well as in the center of the
carpet’s central field.
The ivory border of the carpet is decorated with dark and light red, yellow, pink, and ivory-colored flowers and light
green, dark and light brown, and blue leaves and branches. The central border is surrounded with madakhil trimmed with
light brown and ivory hook-like motifs. The external and internal madakhil finish in chains trimmed with light red and
ivory z-shaped elements. The carpet has a specific original color design. The colors in the motifs of the carpet’s central field
are repeated in the border motifs as well. The “abrash” in the central field of the carpet is shown vividly. The pile and warp
of the carpet is wool and the weft is cotton. The condition of the carpet is complete. The carpet is of artistic, historical, and
scientific importance.
