The carpet has a simple central field and a rich border structure. Five dark brown, serrated-edge, rhomboidal
gols are placed in the brick red central field. There are blue, white, deep blue, and orange eight-petal flowers in
the center of the gols. Ivory, brick red, and blue flowers are depicted on the four sides of the central flowers. One-
fourth of the rhomboidal medallion is depicted in the corners of the central field. When these incomplete parts are
combined, a complete medallion can be created. White square elements, light brown and brick red leaves, and a
small section of incomplete flower petals are depicted on the turquoise incomplete medallions. The edges of the
incomplete medallions are surrounded with light brown, white, and red scallops.
There are “axle” medallions among the gols in the central field. The dark brown rhomboidal gols with projec-
ting edges and the axle “gubba” (domes) in the central field of the carpet have been combined with one another
through vertical branches. There are baklava-like motifs on the branches. The edges of the branches and “gubba”
finish in white and brown “su” (water). Blue, ivory, and red flowers are depicted inside the “gubba.” These stri-
pes are called “tirmasayaghi” among weavers.
