“Giz Galasi” (Maiden Tower)
III International Art Festival
Résumé
The traditional “Giz Galasi” III International Art Festival
was held in Baku. The “Giz Galasi” International Art Festi-
val specifically contributes to intercultural dialogue. It has
been held since 2010 at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev
Foundation and through the organization of the “Icherishe-
her” State Historical-Architectural Reservation Department,
the Modern Art Museum, and “Giz Galasi” (Maiden Tower)
Art Gallery. The goal of the festival is to publicize the Maiden
Tower, one of the most ancient and world famous monuments
of Azerbaijan. More than 30 well-known artists from 24 co-
untries took part in this year’s festival. By decorating small
models of the tower in their own national styles, they created pieces reflecting the synthesis
and mutual exchange of different cultures and traditions. Among these, the works of Mehriban
Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva were highly valued by the participants. During the closing ceremony
of the festival, the authors informed Mehriban Aliyeva about the idea content of their pieces
in the exhibition. Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, spoke and
greeted the event participants and talked about the importance of the festival.
III Международный художественный фестиваль
«Девичья башня»
Резюме
В Баку традиционно был проведен III Международный художественный фестиваль
«Девичья башня». Внося особый вклад в межкультурный диалог, Международный ху-
дожественный фестиваль «Девичья башня», начиная с 2010 года,
проводится по инициативе Фонда Гейдара Алиева и организации
Управления Государственного историко-архитектурного заповед-
ника «Ичери шехер», Музея современного искусства и художест­
венной галереи «Гыз галасы». Целью фестиваля была пропаганда
одного из самых древних и важных в мире памятников Азербайд-
жана Девичьей башни. Участниками фестиваля этого года было
более 30 известных художников из 24 стран мира. Украшая свои
маленькие макеты башни узорами, присущими их национальным
стилям, они создали произведения, отражающие синтез разных
культур и традиций и взаимного обмена. В ряду этих произведе-
ний высоко были оценены работы госпожи Мехрибан Алиевой и
Лейлы Алиевой. На церемонии закрытия фестиваля авторы под-
робно проинформировали об идейном содержании своих работ
госпожу Мехрибан Алиеву, которая подробно ознакомилась с ра-
ботами, представленными на выставке. На мероприятии в сво-
ем выступлении вице-президент Фонда Лейла Алиева попривет-
ствовала всех участников и рассказала о значимости фестиваля.
