The Opening of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Paris
Résumé
On September 19, an opening ceremony was held for the Cultural Center established in Paris with the
support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Azerbaijani Embassy to France. President of the Repub-
lic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva took part in the event.
It was noted during the event that the Azerbaijani Cultural Center that opened in the center of Paris
near the Eiffel Tower is a symbol of one of the most important steps taken in this capital of world culture
to promote Azerbaijan.
This cultural event held special significance; it was meant to introduce Azerbaijan, a country that has
entered the world agenda as a leading force of inter-cultural dialogue at the highest level. The center
contains exhibits in connection with Azerbaijan’s ancient and rich history and culture and the center’s
presence in this place creates great opportunities for Azerbaijan to make its activity in the cultural life of
Paris official. The Cultural Center of Azerbaijan strives to embody eternal interest in this unique country.
An important part of the events carried out by Azerbaijan’s First Lady and President of Heydar Aliyev
Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, to introduce Azerbaijan abroad is related to the cultural life of Paris.
The new cultural center will create new opportunities for strengthening the activities in this field through
focusing their management in one center and creating more efficient work.
President Ilham Aliyev raised the Azerbaijani flag in the courtyard of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center.
All the resources necessary for conducting different meetings and events have been supplied in the cen-
ter. The major characteristic of the center is the display of examples from Azerbaijani culture. Exhibits
reflecting Azerbaijan’s history are presented in the center in the different halls. Everything in the center,
from archeological findings to ancient money, arms, and coppersmith products points to the ancient and
rich history of Azerbaijan.

Резюме
19 сентября в Париже прошла церемония открытия Культурного центра, созданного при
поддержке Фонда Гейдара Алиева и посольства Азербайджана во Франции.
На церемонии приняли участие президент Азербайджанской Республики Ильхам Алиев и его
супруга Мехрибан Алиева. На мероприятии было отмечено, что расположенный недалеко от
Эйфелевой башни, в центре Парижа, Азербайджанский культурный центр является одним из
важных предпринятых шагов в пропаганде нашей страны в столице мировой культуры. Имеющее
особую значимость это культурное событие служит знакомству с Азербайджаном, который
вошел в мировую глобализацию как ведущая сила платформы между культурами и цивилизациями,
на самом высоком уровне. Центр, в котором представлены экспонаты, отражающие древнюю
и богатую историю и культуру нашей страны, открывает на официальном уровне большие
возможности для Азербайджана, ведущего активнуюдеятельность в культурнойжизниПарижа.
Азербайджанский культурный центр также воплощает неиссякаемой интерес к нашей стране.
Основная часть мероприятий, проводимых в направлении ознакомления за рубежом нашей
страныпервойледиАзербайджана, президентомФондаГейдараАлиеваМехрибанАлиевой, связана
с культурной жизнью Парижа. Новый же культурный центр откроет широкие возможности в
укреплении дел в этой сфере, более эффективного управления и проведения их с единого центра.
Президент Ильхам Алиев во дворе Азербайджанского культурного центра поднял
государственный флаг.
В центре созданы все условия для проведения разного рода встреч и мероприятий, также
он оснащен необходимым оборудованием. Отличительной чертой центра является выставка
образцов, рассказывающих об азербайджанской культуре. В экспозиционных залах центра
выставлены разные археологические находки, повествующие о древней и богатой истории
Азербайджана: деньги древности, орудия, изделия из меди.
